About Young IFFI

Young IFFI is a platform by and for young professionals in the ingredients industry. It is the place where young professionals meet and exchange insights and experiences, ensuring cross-pollination within the ingredients industry.

Young IFFI Events

Young IFFI hosts events and masterclasses about different themes, not only about the ingredients industry but also about personal growth. Young IFFI Events are meant for young professionals in the ingredients industry, and students of food related studies. This year, there are four events:

On top of your game

Would you like to discuss and find new ways to address challenging opportunities to create healthy, sustainable and affordable foods? Join us! We organise networking events and masterclasses. We also offer training sessions and in-depth workshops through Academy meetings. The topics are chosen by young professionals. In that way we make sure we stay on top of your game!

Development program

IFFI companies enable participation in an ‘in-industry’ management development program (instead of an in-company management program). An unique opportunity for young professionals to develop more broadly!

IFFI carousel

Part of Young IFFI is the IFFI carousel. Here, internships, theses, excursions, small research projects, and entry-level jobs are matched with 3rd and 4th year BSc and MSc students from food-related studies. The companies affiliated with IFFI provide the internships and thesis opportunities, maintaining a connection with the educational and professional field.

Young IFFI Event

On September 19, the Young IFFI event took place, with the theme ‘Food for Thought’. Young professionals and students were invited to come together and address the contemporary, major issues in our industry. Photographer and filmmaker Kadir van Lohuizen elaborated on these issues based on his eponymous VPRO series. In workshops facilitated by moderators from Careerwise, solutions were made clear interactively. Participation for young professionals and students was free.
