Cost Drivers in Ingredients

Producers of food ingredients are confronted with a new spectrum of operational challenges today, such as increasing labour costs, CO2 and N emissions and CSRD regulations. Additionally, they must implement the electrification of factories and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. These and more cost drivers have a negative impact on manufacturing costs and the overall operational costs. How to overcome these challenges successfully and become future-proof? During this network event professionals working in operations will share experiences and insights and acquire a better understanding of becoming a resilient company.

The program of the first day includes a visit to Peelpioneers, an IFFI-affiliating company (for members only). Together with executives in operations of the hosting company we will elaborate on the insights of the previous day and put them in the perspective of our daily businesses.

Bas van Wieringen, Co-Founder and CEO, PeelPioneers

Bas van Wieringen is a co-founder at PeelPioneers and a partner at TEKKOO innovation + startups. Bas is also a big fan and investor at SUNT and De Clique. In the past, Bas has served as a member of the startup panel at BNR Nieuwsradio, a coach at LaunchLab at YES!Delft, a mentor at Startupbootcamp, and a project lead at Mobility Lab. Additionally, Bas has worked as a business innovator at The Bridge and as a young executive manager at Boer & Croon. Bas holds a Master’s degree in Bestuurs- & Organisatiewetenschap from Utrecht University and has received education from Vlerick Business School, Udacity, Avicenna- Academy for Leadership, and University of the Netherlands Antilles.
