Internship-thesis in healthy or sustainable food

Are you interested in researching the impact of nutritional components on health or on disease prevention? Curious about consumer behavior? Looking to develop a healthy food product or concept? Want to understand the regulatory landscape for novel ingredients? Students of the Health Food Innovation Management program will explore and implement these questions for your company.

Key details 

  • Date: January to July (6-month internship-thesis)
  • Time investment: Supervision of an intern
  • Involved institution: Health Food Innovation Management (HFIM), University of Maastricht, Campus Venlo
  • Location: Students often travel or relocate for their internship
  • Cost: Your standard internship allowance
Requirements 
  1. Provide a research question, relevant to one or more of the following key domai
    – Biomedical aspects
    – Consumer sciences
    – Entrepreneurship, new ventures, or business
    – Food law and regulation
  2. Provide at least 75% of the internship hours to research activities, and the other 25% may be spent on company activities
  3. Designate a suitable internship supervisor (preferably with a Master’s degree)
