Volatility of Energy and Logistics

In the midst of worldwide shortages of raw materials and rapidly increasing prices of energy and logistics the food ingredients industry tries to anticipate to different scenarios. Since there are multiple factors involved – often at historically high price levels – carrying out a scenario planning process is a highly complex exercise.

The IFFI board will address scenario planning and/or risk management during this dinner meeting.

Because of its international and industrialized settings, the food ingredients industry relies very much on the availability of raw materials, energy, and logistics. At this very moment, the availability is low, the prices are high. To develop, plan and execute different business scenarios is at this moment a highly complex exercise. The members of IFFI’s Executive Council will share their experiences and insights on how to deal with this unique situation and manage its risks accordingly. Volatility, manage risks at all costs?
