IFFI Academy is launching a collaborative University Challenge that connects academia and industry to explore real-time business questions in the food ingredients sector. In partnership with a university, BSc and MSc Business Administration students will work on live cases submitted by IFFI-affiliated food ingredient manufacturers.

University Challenge: Route to Market & Business Value

IFFI Academy is launching a collaborative University Challenge that connects academia and industry to explore real-time business questions in the food ingredients sector. In partnership with a university, BSc and MSc Business Administration students will work on live cases submitted by IFFI-affiliated food ingredient manufacturers.

The challenge focuses on two core questions:
How can the business value of an innovative food ingredient be clearly articulated and quantified in specific markets?
Which routes to market offer the strongest potential to capture that value?

Students will analyse these cases from a market, strategic and commercial perspective, exploring multiple go-to-market options such as branded applications, private label, B2B partnerships and emerging channels.

Participating ingredient producers will gain fresh, independent perspectives on their innovations, while students will develop hands-on experience working on real industry challenges at the intersection of strategy, innovation and technology.

The IFFI University Challenge aims to stimulate new thinking, accelerate insight generation and strengthen the connection between future business leaders and the food ingredients industry.
