Executive Council – Recipe for growth!

The second Executive Council meeting of this years is about future growth of the food ingredients industry answering to the quest for a greener planet. Where and when does the food industry claims responsibility over its footprint? How to anticipate to scope 1, 2 en 3 CO2 emissions in the supply chain? And how to address the right scope / scale balance ensuring your position in the marketplace 5 years from now meeting those responsabilities? These questions about growth will be addressed in our quest for a greener planet driving change towards a healthier environment and society. Two invited industry leaders will share their vision on future growth and how to strategize this in the years to come.

The Executive Council meets twice a year and this time in the summer, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of a culinary outstanding restaurant in the premises of an inspiring environment.

Looking back over the first half of 2023 and looking forward in the second half of 2023, discussing the opportunities and challenges the industry needs to anticipate to. With the IFFI anniversary event ‘Food Ingredients | your recipe for growth’ coming up in September 2023 the Executive Council members discuss in the intimacy of the IFFI business network how to address future growth answering to the quest for a greener planet. Innovation always has been a focal area of IFFI providing a sustainable business perspective for its membering companies. Sustainability, from an economical but also from an ecological point of view.

But how to encorporate these in its growth strategy? Industry leaders will share their vision on our business perspective and recipe for growth!

Wouter Staal  is founder and CEO of YB, formerly known as Yoghurt Barn. In his lecture, he takes you along in his entrepreneurial story, how feeling became a purpose and how YB has become a sustainable leader in the food transition. He holds up a mirror to his audience and inspires in many ways

First hospitality company with B Corp certification

Not just any brand, one with purpose. Which means that doing good for people, animals and the planet comes before profit and self-interest. What impact does a company like this have during and after Corona and why has the brand name been changed? For example, YB is the first company in the Netherlands to be climate-positive, it is the first catering company with B Corp certification and it is looking for the brand stretch to food retail and abroad.

The Executive Council lunch meeting is for senior management of the IFFI membering companies.

The EC members will share insights about strategizing future growth.
