This two-day masterclass will deep dive into the operational capabilities of food ingredients producers to manage their factories, supply chains and suppliers with the use of artificial intelligence. What are the opportunities and shortfalls of implementing data driven, AI processes with respect to raw materials, supply chain and manufacturing? Is a self-steering factory still a far-fetched idea or an imminent reality?
Industry experts and IFFI members will share experiences and insights on the use and impact of AI from an operational perspective.
The second day of this two-day event will include a visit to the IFFI affiliated company ADM in Amsterdam (for members only). Together with executives in operations from the hosting company we will elaborate on the insights of the previous day and put them into the context of our daily business operations.

In this AI workshop we learn about the fundamentals of AI and discover practical uses for your organization, tailored to enhance your team’s processes in manufacturing and supply chain. Besides an introduction and demonstration of AI across industries, we will look into small practical applications of AI within manufacturing, maintenance, logistics, supply chain, QA & QC, et cetera. We will also creatively tackle your organization’s challenges in Operations with AI solutions.

Nick Moesker, Managing Consultant, DataNorth AI
Nick Moesker is Managing Consultant at DataNorth. He is a seasoned AI and analytics professional. With experience as Commercial Lead for Analytics & AI at Eviden and Atos, Nick has been responsible for business development, pre-sales, and project delivery in Northern Europe. His expertise spans AI, automation, and intelligent solutions, with a track record of helping businesses optimize processes through technology. Nick’s background in consulting and leadership, combined with his hands-on experience in AI and analytics, makes him a key player in driving digital transformation initiatives.
Nick graduated with a Master’s degree in Technology and Operations Management from the University of Groningen in 2019.
Geert-Jan Hultermans, Operations Director EMEAI Region, ADM
Geert-Jan Hultermans is an experienced operations executive with over 16 years in the food industry. As Operations Director for EMEAI at ADM since August 2022, he drives operational excellence and process optimization. Previously, he held key roles at Cargill, including Process Implementation Lead for Plant Operations in Europe, where he enhanced efficiency across 14 sites. Geert-Jan also contributed to energy sustainability initiatives as a Board member of Smart Delta Resources.
His earlier experience at Kerry involved managing multi-site operations and leading SAP implementations. Geert-Jan is committed to innovation and sustainable practices in the food sector.
This network meeting is for professionals in operations employed by the IFFI member companies as well as non-member manufacturers of food ingredients. They share insights and best practices within the area of manufacturing, maintenance, process technology as well as supply chain and logistics.
