This two-day masterclass is about the use of AI tooling in commerce and how to develop and implement Data Driven sales strategies. To capitalize on the full potential of delivered value is foremost the key capability of the sales discipline of food ingredients producers. Especially non-tangible benefits such as sustainability represent lots of value, but how to get this value defined, confirmed and purchased by the customer?
Sales executives gain a better understanding of the phenomenon of AI affecting their sales practices internationally. At the same time they will learn to develop and implement data driven sales strategies both from a marketing and sales perspective. Top consultants and trainers will share their latest insights and best cases in the international food arena.
The second day of this two-day event will include a visit to the IFFI affiliated companies Royal Polak Spices/De Weerd Spices (for members only). Together with commercial executives of the hosting company we will elaborate on the insights of the previous day and put them in the perspective of our daily businesses.

Jasper Schouten, CEO 1-2-Taste
Jasper is co-founder and CEO of 1-2-Taste, a digital business-to-business marketplace for food ingredients and food product development. Providing food & beverages manufactures digital access to food & beverage ingredients from a wide variety of categories with multiple suppliers to choose from. Before founding 1-2-Taste Jasper spent 16 years in the food ingredients industry, primarily in operation/sales roles for IFF and Cargill.
Hielke van Dijken, Managing Director Royal Polak Spices & De Weerd Spices
Hielke is Managing Director at De Weerd Spices, a leading company in the global spice industry known for its innovation, quality, and sustainability. Since joining De Weerd Spices, he has been instrumental in elevating the company’s brand presence, launching successful campaigns that highlight the company’s commitment to quality and innovation. Hielke brings over a decade of experience in marketing. Before joining De Weerd Spices in 2017, he directed Bolletje, a household name in the industry of traditional Dutch snacks and baked goods.
This masterclass is for sales, marketing and business development executives employed by the IFFI member companies as well as non-member manufacturers of food ingredients. They share insights and best practices within the area of sales, marketing and innovation management.
