New innovation horizons in food

Innovation is at the core of the food ingredients industry and each food ingredient producer strives to deliver innovative solutions to the needs of customers and consumers. Sometimes the demand can change radically in times of crisis as the world has experienced this year with the outbreak of the coronavirus. The intelligent lockdown and homeboundisolation made it virtually impossible for consumers to buy and consume products as they were used to do before. Consumers’ behaviourchanged rapidly to home cooking and dining, online shopping and ordering long shelf life products from retailers and ready-to-eat meals from restaurants.

But what if the corona-crisis will leave a permanent mark on our society and social distancing is the new normal? How can food producers anticipate to permanent changes in consumer needs and behaviour? Are they capable to respond quickly with new products and concepts? And how can producers of food ingredients deliver innovative solutions matching the needs of customers and consumers in The New Normal?

IFFI facilitates this two-day masterclass for managers and professionals in marketing and innovation who wish to exchange their experiences and insights about innovative New Normal Foods. The participants will be introduced to different aspects/ topics of the innovation process such as Transition and Agility, Innovation & Serendipity and Preservation and Packaging. Innovation specialists and industry experts will share innovation models, key insights and best cases.

The participants acquire a new set of skills and insights about the innovation process at times of radical changing consumer needs and customer requirements in the food ingredient industry.

The masterclass is for innovation and R&D managers, marketing and business development executives and process and product technologists of food ingredient producers. Participants of IFFI member and non-IFFI member companies participate and share actively insights, contacts and business leads during the 3 modules, the dinner meeting and social event.

Registration

The IFFI Masterclass includes dinner, lunch and drinks and excludes eventual accommodation costs.

For IFFI members participation is covered by the membership fee. *
